An update on our team trip to Nicaragua from board member, Michael Brady.
I’m down here in Nicaragua working with the children Frontier Horizon supports. The highlight yesterday was the Juan Pablo orphanage.
The kids are young, 3 to 6 years old, and we had a pinata with music, which was a lot of fun. Every child had their opportunity to take some whacks on the pinata before I had to finish it off for them. Candy all over the floor with kids jumping up to grab it. The photos and videos speak louder than words.
And then we had pizza and other goodies.
The facility is small but handles 20 to 25 kids. Frontier Horizon recently helped out with a refrigerator, freezer, table, and roof repair. We want to help all children in need, and it is obvious these children fit that bill.
Their faces lit up with smiles. When you walk into a room and they hug your legs, you can’t help but be touched.

Meet Joshua! An 11-year-old from Nicaragua with dreams as big as his heart. He's a social butterfly who thrives in team sports, enjoys making new friends, and loves exploring on his bike. 🚴♂️
Excelling in math, Joshua aspires to be an accountant and an English interpreter. Whether it's riding bikes, sharing chicken or pizza with friends, Joshua embraces every moment fully. 📚
Hosting Joshua through our Nicaragua Summer Hosting Program is more than kindness—it's empowering a young dreamer to reach his full potential!

Frontier Horizon team members are currently on the ground in Nicaragua, working tirelessly to shop for and package essential food items for 10 families in need. Each package is carefully filled with essentials to nourish and support these families during challenging times. Here's what each package includes:
15 pounds of rice 🍚
10 pounds of sugar 🍬
8 pounds of beans 🌱
1 pound of oats 🥣
1 pound of Pinolillo ☕
Cookies 🍪
4 pounds of salt 🧂
7 pasta packages 🍝
1.5 liters of cooking oil 🥫

4 coffee sachets ☕
4 instant soups 🍲
2 toilet paper packs 🧻
2 dish detergents 🧼
4 hand soaps 🧼
1 liter of bleach 🧽

But that's not all! We've also purchased a new table for more children to gather around and practice writing their English lessons.
